Janet is married to an officer in the Air Force National Guard and has three fantastic children. She has been working with dogs for over 18 years. She focused on long term foster care for dogs and their people in need and for military members needing quality care for their pets during deployments. Over the years she has seen many dogs with behavior problems and just plain bad manners. Having a good working knowledge of multiple training methods, she helped as much as she could. More and more people were asking questions and looking for training advice. She felt she needed to do even more so she decided it was time to become a Certified Professional Trainer.

During the summer of 2011 Janet attended National K-9 School for Dog Trainers. This professional school draws students from around the world and it is an accredited school through The Ohio State Board of Career Colleges. The National K-9 curriculum is an intense program, with over 200 hours of hands-on training. After graduating the Master Trainer Course, Janet received endorsements in Basic Obedience, Advanced Obedience, Puppy Development, Behavior Modification, and more.

Janet is also certified in canine massage therapy, having completed a course through Integrated Touch Therapy, Inc. Additionally, she has attended numerous continuing education seminars including Dog Nutrition with Wendy Volhard , E-Touch and Retrieve with Martin Deeley, Advanced Socialization for Difficult Dogs and Dogmanship with Chad Mackin (Pack to Basics) and Scent Detection with Debbie Kay. Janet continues to attend multiple workshops every year learning more every day and passing along as much information as she can to help educate people and create harmony one dog at a time.
